Ray's Sushi: Generous portions and a great value. Easily the best sushi in Hayward (although that probably isn't ... have a sushi place anywhere near as good as what I was used to in the south bay. Boy was I wrong!
Golden Coffee Shop: I really like the U-shaped counter, but they press the bacon, and I want my bacon to be more like a gently steamed linen blouse than a starched collared shirt.
Musical Offering Cafe: Best Cafe/Classical Music store in the Bay Area. Looking for Couperin and a Cappuccino, Brie Sandwich and Bach, Nicoise Salad and Saint-Saens? Look no further than MOC. It is the epitome of civility. Nice meet-up spot.
Sakura Restaurant: Crazy rolls! Great fish! Premium sake that comes in a glass the size of a bucket! This may become ... g off the beaten path, you rarely have to deal with the BS you find going out in SF or Rockridge.

Taiwan Restaurant: I had many a Sunday brunch and weekday dinner here in college. The food was tasty and inexpensive, and my friends and I always were made to feel right at home.
